Get Help Completing and Filing Your Naturalization Application!

WHAT: One-day workshop that will happen around the State to assist eligible lawful permanent residents ("green card" holders) in applying for U.S. citizenship. Citizenship Days are coordinated in partnership by Washington New Americans and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Assistance will be provided by experienced volunteer immigration attorneys, interpreters, and paralegals. Resources for preparing for the naturalization interview will be provided as well.

Over the past two years, we have held 24 workshops in numerous locations, including Bellingham, Pasco, Tacoma, and Yakima, and served approximately 1,400 individuals.  Citizenship Day was created in Washington in 2004 and has been replicated in 30 states.
