WHAT?
Citizenship Days are a series of day-long workshops taking place across Washington, where eligible Legal Permanent Residents ("green card" holders) receive free information and legal assistance to apply for U.S. citizenship. Citizenship Days are coordinated in partnership by Washington New Americans and the Washington chaprter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Assistance is provided by experienced volunteer immigration attorneys, interpreters, and paralegals. Resources to help applicants prepare of the USCIS naturalization interview are available at the events.
