Contact your lawmaker

In order to make sure that your representatives are representing you, they need to hear from you throughout the year. Among many other important issues, your state legislators decide how much funding to provide the Washington New Americans program. This funding allows services like Citizenship Day and the Citizenship Hotline to reach communities across Washington state, helping hundreds of lawful permanent residents naturalize each year.

Call or write your senator and representatives today to let them know how important citizenship services are to you and your community. You don’t have to be a citizen to make your voice heard- regardless of your immigration status, your state representatives want to hear from you.

Click here to find out who your legislators are, then call or email to join communities across the state who are supporting Washington New Americans’ citizenship services.

Every year the Washington New Americans Program visits the Washington State Legislature in Olympia to request funding to continue and expand services.  If you are interested in joining us on our Lobby Day in January or February, please emails us at wna@weareoneamerica.org
